Dracula -  Truth or legend?

Every legend also contains a little truth, for instance Dracula, a literary caracter created by Bram Stroker. The story  takes place in Transylvania, where the central character,Count Dracula, one of the last vampires attacks his victims. The connection to reality lies in the identification of Count Dracula with Vald Tepes, son of Vlad Dracul, who was made knightof the order of the Dragon by the German  emperor Sigismund. The wolrld ''Darcul" derives from the German world ''Drachen'' wich means dragon. The association between Count Dracula and Vald Tepes is remarcable, if you remember the fect that one of them was a vampire and the other one a sovereign, anyway both of them seem to have a delight in shedding blood...

Sighisoara ranks among the other Dracula cities because the count's birth took in this town. Countless movies and stories have arisen from this myth, nowadays one of the best known in the world.
